Pinnacles (1983) is the sixth solo album by Tangerine Dream founder Edgar Froese. Pinnacles would be Froese's last solo album until Dalinetopia (2005). The album is named after The Pinnacles in the Australian Outback, which Froese had a deep admiration for.

This 1983 offering sounds in both song construction and sound palette close to TangD's White Eagle and Hyperborea, no bad thing! Rhythmic opener 'specific gravity of smile'' slow but naively sweet 'the light cone', gauzy/trippy 'walkabout' and the excellent 20min+ 'pinnacles' make up the album.
