Hailing from Canvey Island, Essex, they are best known for early singles such as "She Does It Right", "Roxette", "Back in the Night" and "Milk and Alcohol".
The group's current line-up feature drummer Kevin Morris (since 1983), bassist and guitarist Phil H. Mitchell (from 1983 to 1991, and since 1995), lead vocalist and harmonicist Robert Kane (since 1999) and lead guitarist Gordon Russell (from 1983 to 1989 and since 2021), History. 1971–1983.

Bassist, Phil Mitchell, had struggled for some time to balance the demands of life on the road, with trying to raise a young family. He also knew that, with the band's re-emergence as one of the best live acts in the country, the demands would only become greater. Reluctantly, Mitchell decided to bid farewell to the Feelgoods.
