Peter Ross Newman (born November 26, 1952) is an American film producer and educator. Newman is currently the president of Peter Newman Productions since 1980. He is the father to chef Romilly Newman and actors Griffin Newman and James Newman.

Peter Ross Newman is an American film producer and educator. In a 30 year career, Peter Newman has produced over thirty films. They include Wayne Wang’s SMOKE and BLUE IN THE FACE, John Sayles’ THE SECRET OF ROAN INISH, Spalding Gray’s SWIMMING TO CAMBODIA; and Nancy Savoca’s DOGFIGHT and HOUSEHOLD SAINTS.
