The London-based design agency known as Hipgnosis, comprising primarily Storm Thorgerson, Aubrey Powell and later Peter Christopherson (along with several itinerant freelance collaborators), stood at the forefront of rock's imaginative leap from the mundane to the magical (and also occasionally into the absurd and grotesque) during its operation from 1968 to 1983.
29 de nov. de 2010 · Peter "Sleazy" Christopherson was a co-founder of Throbbing Gristle, partner of the amazing graphic design studio Hipgnosis, and a video director for artists as likely as Sepultura and Nine Inch Nails -- and as unlikely as Yes.. Here's a picture: On Wednesday night, Sleazy died. Here's a nice balanced obit.. I'm not writing as a particular fan of his work.

25 de nov. de 2010 · Peter Christopherson, a.k.a. Sleazy (27 February 1955 – 25 November 2010) was a musician, video director and designer. He was one of the original members of British band Throbbing Gristle who performed alongside the Virgin Prunes at the Project Arts Centre in 1978, and a former member of the influential British design agency Hipgnosis.
