I Am. Album (1972) The second of three Pete Townshend -assembled volumes in the Meher Baba devotional series is the weakest link, perhaps, but that doesn't mean it doesn't provide real points of interest. Recorded and released in 1971, almost two years after Baba's death, the musical part of the record is certainly a product of its time.
In the winter of 1976, The Who were on hiatus, and Pete Townshend had time open to produce his pal Ronnie Lane ’s new album. Lane’s LPs and live gigs with his band Slim Chance were fun, but didn’t support him financially, especially contrasted with his hit-making days with Small Faces and Faces.

Ronnie Lane and Pete Townshend. In late 1976, Ronnie Lane joined a short-lived reformation of the Small Faces, but quit after two rehearsals, to be replaced by Rick Wills (who currently plays alongside the former Small Faces drummer, Kenney Jones, in the Jones Gang).
