He joined the Pretty Things in 1970 just after they'd completed the Parachute album, and was with the band throughout the 1970s and into the early '80s, playing on the albums Freeway Madness, Silk Torpedo, Savage Eye and Crosstalk.
10 de feb. de 2024 · Formed in London in 1963, The Pretty Things were part of the original wave of British R&B bands alongside their friends and contemporaries The Rolling Stones. As the 60s and 70s progressed, they delivered a string of classic albums – most notably 1968’s landmark concept album SF Sorrow - without ever getting the massive breakthrough the deserved.
16 de abr. de 2020 · Taylor left the band before the underrated 1970 album Parachute, replaced by former Eire Apparent guitarist Pete Tolson, who would perform and record with the band through the remainder of the decade on sorely overlooked albums like 1972’s Freeway Madness and 1974’s Silk Torpedo.
