  4. Peter Shotton (born 4 August 1941 in Liverpool) is an English businessman best known as the childhood best friend of John Lennon. He attended Dovedale Infants School and then Quarry Bank Grammar School along with Lennon. The two boys were frequently in trouble with their teachers and with their headmaster, and they came to be known at Quarry Bank as "Shennon and Lotton" or "Lotton and Shennon."

Shotton attended Dovedale Infants School and Quarry Bank Grammar School with John Lennon and was an original member of the Quarrymen, playing washboard.
