Peter Shotton (Liverpool, 4 de agosto de 1941 – 24 de março de 2017) foi um empresário inglês, mais conhecido pela longa amizade que teve com John Lennon, fundador dos The Beatles.Geralmente referido como "Pete", frequentou os colégios Dovedale Infants School e Quarry Bank Grammar School, tendo Lennon como colega e amigo próximo.

1 de ene. de 1984 · Pete Shotton, John Lennon's best friend from childhood till the end of his life, wrote the book a few years after John's death. John bought Pete a supermarket on Hayling Island after he got famous. Because Pete's family lived in Liverpool, he stayed with John at Kenwood during the week and they shared the same experiences (mostly cheating on their wives and doing drugs).

1 de ago. de 1983 · Pete Shotton, one of John's lifelong best friends, did a wonderful job in writing this. He'd known John since they were young children and was around during the Beatles' entire career and beyond. Even so, it is unbiased and thus does not read like a seedy 'tell-all' exploit (as other biographies written by "insiders" often do), or like an obituary full of nothing but praise and worship.
