With Cheap Trick. After original Cheap Trick bassist Tom Petersson left the group in 1980, he was initially replaced by Pete Comita. Comita left the group early in the recording sessions for the album One on One and was replaced by Brant, who moved to the band's hometown of Rockford, Illinois.

Well, Pete didn’t last long and was replaced rather quickly during the early recordings of the album. In fact, he doesn’t appear on any of the album. They replaced him with bass player, Jon Brant.

It has nothing to do with Comita’s musicianship; his playing is solid, driving and precise. Pete is a natural showman and is very animated on stage. He plays a great 12-string bass solo at the end of ‘Gonna Raise Hell’ which then fades into a more sedate Nielsen guitar solo.
