Pete Bremy (born October 15, 1952) is an American rock bass player. He is best known for his associations with Vanilla Fudge and Cactus . Biography Originally from Paterson, Bremy is a lifelong resident of New Jersey.
In 2011, McCarty returned to the band with Pete Bremy taking over on bass. Bremy also took over for Bogert in Vanilla Fudge and is the only non-original member who has played for both bands. The 2012 lineup was Jim McCarty, Carmine Appice, Jimmy Kunes, Pete Bremy and Randy Pratt.
Pete Bremy Biography. Born in Paterson, New Jersey in 1952, Pete liked to sing ever since he was a little boy. While living in an apartment over his dad's electronics shop in Paterson, his mom gave him a portable record player. His first record, he recalls was Franks Sinatra's Love and Marriage .

The band has toured as recently as 2022 with three of the four original members: Stein, Martell, and Appice, with Pete Bremy on bass. Bogert retired in 2009 and died in 2021. The band has been cited as "one of the few American links between psychedelia and what soon became heavy metal" and as a proto-prog band.
