His follow-up album, Perilous Journey, consolidated his success, being named one of the best albums of 1977 by The Sunday Times. It peaked in the UK Albums Chart at No. 29. A single taken from the album, "Heartsong", received extensive airplay and reached No. 21 in the UK Singles Chart.

21 de ago. de 2013 · Perilous Journey (1977) was the one with the Whistle Test-style cover, and that Heartsong hit. Gently progressive in the face of punk, it featured the same band (with John G. Perry on bass) and moved into more mainstream topography on songs such as opener Quest, Giltrap’s heavy-strumming acoustic attack playing against strident synthesised strings.
