Peace Beyond Passion seems to draw from Herbie Hancock's Headhunter days (Bennie Maupin and Wah Wah Watson are on board) and Curtis Mayfield's and Bill Withers' early 70s grooves, kind of picking up the pieces that scattered Black music has left behind, to great effect.
