Valentine moved to lead guitar duties, and Paula Jean Brown was hired to play bass. The Go-Go's broke up in May 1985. Post Go-Go's (1985–1990) and Go-Go's reunion. After the break up, Valentine said that she felt lost and that her identity had become absorbed into being a Go-Go.

1 de ago. de 2020 · After Wiedlin quit, the Go-Go’s had to go through another lineup change: Valentine switched to rhythm guitar, and Paula Jean Brown joined as the band’s new bassist. Brown, who is interviewed in the documentary (she wasn’t in “Behind the Music”), remembers she was very excited at first to join the Go-Go’s, before she knew how bad things were in the band.
