Stéphane Grappelli ( French pronunciation: [stefan ɡʁapɛli]; 26 January 1908 – 1 December 1997) was a French jazz violinist. He is best known as a founder of the Quintette du Hot Club de France with guitarist Django Reinhardt in 1934. It was one of the first all-string jazz bands.

19 de mar. de 2021 · Throughout his career, Grappelli played on hundreds of recordings, including sessions with Duke Ellington, Oscar Peterson, Claude Bolling, Jean-Luc Ponty, Paul Simon, Yo-Yo Ma and Pink Floyd. Grappelli continued performing concerts around the world well into his 80s.
