He is best remembered for two film roles: Victor Laszlo in Casablanca and Jerry Durrance in Now, Voyager, both released between 1942 and 1943.
Biography. Paul Georg Julius Hernreid Freiherr von Wassel-Waldingau, known professionally as Paul Henreid, was an actor and film director probably best known for his roles in "Casablanca" and "Now, Voyager". He made regular film appearances throughout the 1940s, and in the early 1950s began directing for both film and television.
