Hij schoof verder op richting folkrock annex rock.Alhoewel hij daar al met Orange mee begon wordt Past, present and future gezien als de "grote ommekeer". Die wijziging liet haar sporen na.
Al Stewart livre avec Past présent and future l’habituelle originalité et la diversité de son inspiration qui va de faire hommage à un célèbre astrologue ou d’évoquer Le dernier jour de juin 1935. Ce disque est comme les autres opus de Stewart personnel et de qualité égal à nul autre œuvre folk je recommande.

This set will provide not only a collection of five bonus tracks, but will provide a full concert show from 1974 at The Howff, in Hampstead and give it a new remix.
