19 de feb. de 2013 · If you consider "Party of One" to be the first album of Nick's "indie" period, which also includes "The Impossible Bird," "Dig My Mood," and "The Convincer," it's easily the worst of the bunch. However, if you consider it to be the last one of his major-label period ("Party of One" was originally released on Reprise and was then reissued by Upstart), it fares a little better.
"AR" on cassette under the 1 and 2 indicates this was duplicated by Allied Record Company. Party Of One Recorded in Los Angeles, California between March 1988 and October 1989 in four sessions: Three at Oceanway Studios, LA and one at Record One Studios, Sherman Oaks, CA.

18 de may. de 2017 · For 1990's Party of One, the personnel was drawn from Nick's bandmates on 1987's John Hiatt masterpiece, Bring the Family (Lowe on bass, Jim Keltner on drums and Ry Cooder on guitar) combined with the twin heads of the band The Moonlighters (Austin DeLone - ex of Eggs Over Easy and Bill Kirchen - original Lost Planet Airman and twang kingpin).
