Owen Frampton (6 April 1919 – 16 September 2005) was an English art teacher. He was the father of musician Peter Frampton, and a teacher of musician David Bowie and novelist Hanif Kureishi.

Peter Kenneth Frampton was born to Owen Frampton and Peggy (née ffitch) Frampton in Beckenham, Kent. He attended Bromley Technical High School, at which his father was a teacher and the head of the Art department. He first became interested in music when he was seven years old.

He revealed that when he found Bowie and Underwood working at their jobs in an advertising studio, he thought he would never hear of them again.
