Then it was the idea of a producer to get together some of the sixties people and release a couple of albums under the British Invasion heading.

And so 'For Your Love' was the song that would sound good anyway, because it was a much more commercial song." On The Yardbirds official site, bass player Chris Dreja said of this: "We owe a lot to that song because it sort of pulled us out from national to international and set the template for us - that time change in the middle, the weirdness of it."
10 de jul. de 2022 · The desire of some of the members to form their own group was also a cause for the breakup. The band played their last show on July 7th, 1968, at the College of Technology in Luton, Bedfordshire. Keith Relf and McCarty went on to form the Prog Rock band Reinassance, while Jimmy Page started what he called “The New Yardbirds” with Chris Dreja.
