Oswald Pohl was a Nazi official who served as the head of the SS-Wirtschafts-Verwaltungshauptamt (SS-WVHA) from 1942 to 1945. He was in charge of the organization and administration of the concentration camps, the economic affairs of the SS, and the cultural monuments of the SS. He was also a naval officer, a member of the NSDAP, and a former member of the SS-Standartenführer.
