Orion is one of the brightest and best known constellations in the night sky. It lies on the celestial equator and represents the mythical hunter Orion, who is often depicted as facing the charge of Taurus, the bull, or chasing after the Pleiades, the seven sisters. The constellation contains two of the ten brightest stars in the sky, Rigel and Betelgeuse, and many nebulae and asterisms.
