George Lawrence Thorogood (born February 24, 1950) is an American musician, singer and songwriter from Wilmington, Delaware. His "high-energy boogie-blues" sound became a staple of 1980s USA rock radio, with hits like his original songs "Bad to the Bone" and "I Drink Alone".

George Thorogood (Wilmington, Delaware, 24 de febrero de 1950) es un guitarrista, vocalista y compositor de blues rock estadounidense. Es el líder del grupo George Thorogood & The Destroyers y es el autor de los temas Bad to the Bone, I Drink Alone, entre otras canciones.
Earning induction to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Songwriters Hall of Fame, and Baseball Hall of Fame, he is also a New York Times best-selling author for his memoir, Fortunate Son: My Life, My Music. In January 2023 he regained control over his works, acquiring majority interest of his worldwide publishing rights from Concord.
