Opium is a demo album by German industrial band KMFDM from 1984, officially released in 2002 by Firstworld. It is one of only two KMFDM studio albums (the other being Nihil) that does not feature cover artwork by pop artist Brute!.

KMFDM es una banda de rock y metal industrial de Hamburgo, Alemania, que posteriormente ha disfrutado de un éxito de banda de culto en Estados Unidos. La banda fue formada originalmente en febrero de 1984 en París, Francia, por el experto en electrónica Sascha Konietzko y el pintor y ejecutante multimedia Udo Sturm, ambos de origen alemán.

This CD was released by Bill Rieflin's First World Music in 2002, two years prior to the formation of KMFDM Records. However, it bared the first entry (KMFDM001) in the KMFDM Records catalogue system and has retroactively been cited by the band and label as the first KMFDM Records release.
