Onrust Island also known as Pulau Onrust or Pulau Kapal (ship island) is an Indonesian island off the coast of Jakarta. It measures about 3.5 km 2 (1.4 sq mi) and is part of the Thousand Islands.

It was built mainly by volunteers under the supervision of shipbuilding professionals. It is made out of white oak and uses recently re-discovered 17th century Dutch shipbuilding techniques. As with the original Onrust, it is designed as a “yacht” and the entire ship, including areas below deck, replicates an authentic Dutch sailing craft.

The Onrust (Dutch pronunciation:; English: Restless) was a Dutch ship built by Adriaen Block and the crew of the Tyger, which had been destroyed by fire in the winter of 1613. The Onrust was the first ship to be built in what is now New York State, and the first fur trading vessel built in America.
A larger island, with the name is still disputed, Onrust island, was once a busy shipbuilding yard and frontier defense of the dutch against the british. The island has much historical significance, from the dutch era, British invasion, islamic movement, and modern indonesia in the 21st century.
