1994 CD Fantasy / D 41531. timregler May 02 2020. I love Mavis Staples, and I wanted to love this album more, but the song selection leaves a little to be desired. While a great singer in her own right, unlike Queen Aretha, there are just some songs that Mavis is unable to take ownership of an make her own.
