Some sources say that Gilmour played the #0001 for the live promo clips filmed in 1978, but if you check out said footage below it’s clear he’s playing his more famous go-to, The Black Stratocaster.

After joining Pink Floyd, Gilmour’s new bandmates gave him a Strat, made sometime in the mid-1960s. While the exact year of production is uncertain, experts have narrowed it down to 1966 or 1967.
