David Gilmour nasce a Cambridge il 6 marzo del 1946. Ancora adolescente, fa la conoscenza con i concittadini Roger Waters e Syd Barrett (in seguito fondatori dei Pink Floyd): con quest’ultimo frequenta il Cambridgeshire College of Arts and Technology e nell’estate del 1965 parte in autostop per il Sud della Francia, dove la coppia si esibisce per strada suonando la chitarra.
7 de may. de 2023 · For his early 2000s shows, David Gilmour used a Taylor 712CE guitar. Once again, we have an acoustic guitar with a single-cutaway design. In this case, it’s a Venetian cutaway. Bearing a natural finish, we have a brighter-colored top and darker brown sides, all accompanied by very stylish multi-ply binding.

After almost fifteen years we, once again, can have the pleasure of listening to Gilmour’s voice and guitar work – I personally love his guitar solos, always have, always will.
