Olivier Jean Blanchard (French: [blɑ̃ʃaʁ]; born December 27, 1948) is a French economist and professor who currently serves as the Robert M. Solow Professor Emeritus of Economics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and as the C. Fred Bergsten Senior Fellow at the Peterson Institute for International Economics.
Olivier Blanchard is a former IMF economist and the Robert M. Solow Professor of Economics emeritus at MIT. He has worked on macroeconomics, monetary and fiscal policy, bubbles, labor markets, transition, and the Global Financial Crisis. He is the author of many books and articles, and a past editor of the Quarterly Journal of Economics and the NBER Macroeconomics Annual.
Olivier Blanchard is a French economist who has been a professor of economics at MIT since 1982 and the Robert M. Solow Professor of Economics emeritus since 2018. He has worked on various macroeconomic issues, such as monetary and fiscal policy, speculative bubbles, labor market, transition, and the Global Financial Crisis, and has written many books and articles.
