29 de abr. de 2024 · Editor’s Note: The Oliver Mowat’s career was not a fortunate one as she was sliced in two by the steamer Keywest on September 1, 1921. The Captain and two of the crew went down with the ship. The wreck of the Oliver Mowat was discovered in 1996 in 120 feet of water by Rick Neilson, Barbara Carson, Spencer Shoniker and Tim Legateher, who kept the location confidential to avoid plundering.

29 de abr. de 2024 · Sir Oliver Mowat Collegiate Institute is a public high school located in Toronto, located in south east Scarborough. The school was built in 1969 and named for Sir Oliver Mowat, a Father of Confederation and former Ontario premier. The school is located near the intersection of Port Union and Lawrence Rd.
23 de may. de 2024 · Sir Oliver Mowat is located at 5400 Lawrence Ave E, Scarborough, ON M1C 2C6. There is a main 11v11 field and a side field called Mini Mowat. There are no permanent washrooms available at Mowat as our permit is for outside only. However the TDSB installs portable toilets from time to time.
