Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, John Petrucci, Jason Becker, and Marty Friedman are some examples of artists with albums where the guitar plays the the main melodies. Cliffs of Dover is indeed among the most tasteful, impressive and melodic songs among them all though. Fuzz Universe is IMO Paul's best work.
