17 de abr. de 2007 · Hola! Estoy de acuerdo con que las conjugaciones de nobody, everybody & anybody se usan con el verbo en tercera persona del singular. Con respecto al tema de las canciones, si bien se han presentado muy buenos ejemplos hasta aquí, no olvidemos que en las canciones a veces se utilizan licencias literarias.

In normal indicative speech, "nobody" is a singular 3rd person, so it is "has" expect under special conditions, which do exist.
11 de jun. de 2012 · No. "Nobody" doesn't refer to the absence/negation of an individual ("he"): it means the absence/negation of the entire human race, so "do they" is preferable. However, you could possibly justify the use of "does he" if the remark was being addressed directly to a (male) individual in the first place.
17 de ene. de 2014 · It is not uncommon to hear "I'm nobody," in everyday speech, where it often serves as a kind of disclaimer: "I'm nobody; but, in my opinion, this painting is awful." As Paula pointed out, it would be rude and cruel indeed to say, "You're nobody!"

4 de oct. de 2008 · As I understand it the meaning given by the OP is "obtaining something which everyone wants but nobody is comfortable with, when they've got it", which is closer to S-O-L's idea of the directorship of a company about to go into liquidation. Nobody wants the booby prize.

[I made up that statistic to illustrate this linguistic point] I will readily admit that I have heard the phase "almost nobody". I think the usage in the quote that started this thread would be wrong.
