Nils Hilmer Lofgren (born June 21, 1951) is an American rock musician, recording artist, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. Along with his work as a solo artist, he has been a member of Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band since 1984, a member of Crazy Horse, and founder/frontman of the band Grin.Lofgren was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the E Street Band in 2014.

22 de ene. de 2016 · Born in Chicago in 1951 to an Italian mother and Swedish father, Lofgren latched onto music at an early age and never let go. By 1968, he had formed Grin, a proto-power trio built around his weighty riffs and for whom he was also singer and chief songwriter. Soon after this he met Neil Young, sneaking backstage at a local club to seek him out.
Lofgren bounced between working with Grin and playing with Young for several years, also appearing on the Tonight’s the Night album and tour (he later rekindled his association with Young on 1982’s Trans and then again for Young’s 1993 Unplugged appearance).
