Nicola Pecorini (born 10 August 1957) is an Italian cinematographer. Pecorini was born in Milan, Lombardy, Italy. He founded, with Garrett Brown, inventor of the steadicam, the Steadicam Operators Association, Inc. (SOA), in 1988. Pecorini moved to the United States in 1993.
Born August 10 1957 in Milano, Italy. he studies to become a primary school teacher but soon realizes not to have the kind of "missionary push" necessary for such a profession. in 1976 he starts working as assistant photographer for Oliviero Toscani.

Nicola Pecorini was born on 10 August 1957 in Milan, Lombardy, Italy. He is a cinematographer and director, known for The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus (2009), Tideland (2005) and Ra.One (2011). He is married to Caroline Goodall. They have two children.
