Nicol Williamson was a highly acclaimed stage actor who rivaled Albert Finney as the finest actor of his generation in the late 1960s and 1970s. He starred in several classics, such as The Bofors Gun, The Seven-Per-Cent Solution, and Excalibur, but his film career was hampered by his eccentricities and erratic behavior.
