Elämä ja ura. Hopkins aloitti uransa Screaming Lord Sutch and the Savages -yhtyeessä 1950-luvun lopulla. Heikon terveydentilansa vuoksi, joka osoittautui Crohnin taudiksi, Hopkins toimi enimmäkseen studiomuusikkona. Kiertueille osallistumista haittasi myös paheneva alkoholismi ja huumeiden käyttö. En una de sus últimas entrevistas, que coincide con el concierto relatado, cuenta que su madre le «alzó a la butaca» y le enseñó los primeros acordes.
