Nick Simper, vero nome Nicholas Simper (Norwood Green, 3 novembre 1945), è un bassista britannico. È famoso per essere stato uno dei fondatori dei Deep Purple.. Prima di fondare i Deep Purple, Simper suonò con molte band, come i "Lord Sutch's Savages", dove incontrò Ritchie Blackmore, e i "The Flower Pot Men", dove al piano vi era Jon Lord.
Nicholas Simper was born in Southall, London, on November 3, 1945. Nick joined his first school group The Renegades in 1960, using a guitar given to him by his father. On leaving school Nick joined The Delta Five and occasionally depped with Lord Sutch's Savages, where he met Ritchie Blackmore.. In search of a more powerful sound Nick put together Some Other Guys.
