Pro Football Hall of Fame. Nicholas Anthony Buoniconti (December 15, 1940 – July 30, 2019) was an American professional football player who was a middle linebacker in the American Football League (AFL) and National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

Nick Buoniconti was a linebacker who played for the Boston Patriots and the Miami Dolphins from 1962 to 1976. He won two Super Bowls, was a six-time AFL All-Star, and recorded 32 interceptions in his career.
