This Is Happiness is a novel by Niall Williams, a Booker-longlisted author of historical and contemporary fiction. Set in the remote Irish village of Faha, it tells the story of a man who falls in love with a woman who brings electricity and light to the village. The novel explores themes of love, loss, nostalgia and transformation in a picturesque and hilarious setting.
