Hace 6 días · Given how different they are from incandescent bulbs, one would think that you’d need special optimizations to use them. The big question then becomes if putting LED bulbs in regular fixtures is possible. Strictly speaking, the answer is yes. There are, however, a few caveats.

Called the intermediate type, this bulb base is typically found in smaller fixtures like table lamps and pendant lights.
Those lamps used a 3-way bulb which was one bulb with two filaments, like a 50 and 100 watt. The switch turned on one or both of the filaments to get 3 levels of light. Someone may make an LED bulb to fit the 3-way sockets, but a normal dimmable LED won't work. It will only work on a single brightness.
