At the beginning of the "boy band" era was the pop singing group New Kids on the Block. The group currently stands as the third best all-time selling boy band behind Backstreet Boys and The Jackson Five. The five singing/dancing band members are Danny Wood, Joey McIntyre, Jonathan Knight, Jordan Knight and Donnie Wahlberg. The band was formed in 1984 in Boston, Massachusetts.
