In my opinion, this album defines Neil so well, because he was experimenting new stuff (backing vocals, new mixing, overdubbings, instrumental tracks, etc). He said he was so insecure about this voice that he needed to drink some beer (recommended by Briggs) and later on he buried his vocal on the mixes, but that whispering and all that shyness, somehow, blew me away, man.

Hace 3 días · I saw Neil Young Tuesday night at Ameris Bank Amphitheatre (or Verizon or whatever it’s called this year) and he did not disappoint. I’ve had the pleasure of seeing him 6 or 7 times when I wasn’t on the road myself, and it’s always deeply moving and inspiring. This time, however, it felt like he had something more to prove than usual.
