4.5 stars. I just can't give that fifth star despite wanting to. I want to because I like how they have changed things up on this album. It reminds me of when "Dark Matter" came out with that heavier sound, well this one just sounds different because of the new keyboardist Neil Durant who joined the band on the previous effort "The Road Of Bones".

He’s talking to us from his home near Manchester, a few hours after we’ve met his fellow founder member of the band, guitarist and producer Mike Holmes, 200‑odd miles away in London.

13 de dic. de 2019 · Keyboardist Neil Durant is one of the stars of the album. His grand organ; exquisite dreamy, cinematic and epic mellotron; and remarkable synth solos are spectacular and memorable. The rhythm section is equally fabulous, delivering power, energy and calm subtlety as well.
