  7. I was shocked when CODA won best picture. I’m also surprised that I didn’t see much backlash on this subreddit about that decision. CODA was a fine movie. But it’s overly cheesy and some of the characters are too goofy to take the movie seriously (mainly the choir teacher). Also it has a weird anti-environmentalist theme.
