Leading youth arts organisation The National Youth Music Theatre (NYMT) has announced three of its alumni – the critically acclaimed Matt Lucas, the award-winning Amara Okereke (My Fair Lady, West End; Spring Awakening, Almeida Theatre), and Callum Scott Howells (It’s a Sin, Channel 4; The Way, BBC; Cabaret, West End) – are newly appointed patrons.

Based in London, it is constituted as a private limited company (originally named Children's Music Theatre Limited) and as a registered charity.NYMT was founded in 1976 by director and playwright Jeremy James Taylor.

They performed alongside the phenomenal 2023 young company.
The National Youth Music Theatre (NYMT) has a long-standing commitment to an inclusive and accessible ethos. It offers a bursary system to support under-resourced families. This year we’re offering £31,000 of bursaries. Audition workshops will commence on Saturday 6th January 2024 and run every weekend until the 11th February 2024.

Summer Course Fees. Skills Courses Residential - £700 - includes training, pastoral care and full board accommodation for 5 days. Non Residential - £450 - includes training, pastoral care for 5 days. Writers, Creatives & Technical Courses Non Residential - £230 - includes training, pastoral care for 3 days. Course fees are payable in instalments and payment plans are offered.
