  1. Nassau Community College was created as part of the State University of New York by the Nassau County Board of Supervisors on February 9, 1959. When the College opened in a wing of the County Court House in Mineola on February 1, 1960, it had only 632 students.

Students who have previously attended Nassau Community College, who left in good academic standing, and who have not enrolled at the College in four (4) consecutive semesters (including fall, winterim, spring, or summer semesters) and who have not attended another college since leaving NCC are considered to be returning students for the purposes of registration.

If you have never attended Nassau Community College or attended prior to Summer 2023, you must submit proof of either high school graduation and/or completion of a college degree to complete the application process. Once admitted, you may register for Summer 2024 by logging into your myNCC Portal, beginning March 25, 2024 at 8 am.
