Mutiny on the Mamaship is the debut album by former Parliament-Funkadelic drummer Jerome Brailey and his band Mutiny. The album was released by Columbia Records in 1979. The album was released a year after Brailey left P-Funk due to a financial dispute.
“ Mutiny on the Mamaship ” ( Columbia Records) the debut album, follow by “ Funk Plus The One ” ( Columbia Records) both produced by Jerome Brailey while working alongside guitarist Donald “Lenny” Holmes and bassist Raymone Carter were the makings of collectable recordings.
Funkadelic drummer Jerome Brailey’s 1979 solo album came after he left the P-Funk collective due to money disputes with George Clinton. The songs on Mutiny… feature several pointed barbs aimed at Brailey’s former boss and its eight pile-driving tracks clearly demonstrate his ability to funk hard outside of Clinton’s influence.
