Musical Shapes is the great lost Rockpile country album- excellent Nick Lowe/Dave Edmunds/Billy Bremmer stuff with Carlene's tough girl vocals. Two Sides is indeed an excellent album, but for my money, Musical Shapes is the gem in the collection.

By the time Seconds of Pleasure hit the shops, it was considered something of an anti-climax, and the band—despite being one of the most celebrated roots-soaked rock and roll groups of the era—broke up not long after live dates supporting its November 1980 release.

When Carlene Carter hooked up with Nick Lowe part of the deal was that she also inherited Dave Edmunds and the rest of Rockpile.
