Murray Jonathan Gold (born 28 February 1969) is an English composer for stage, film, and television and a dramatist for both theatre and radio. He is best known as the musical director and composer of the music for Doctor Who from its revival in 2005 until 2017.
Murray Gold is a BAFTA-nominated composer who created the music for the rebooted Doctor Who series and several other TV shows and films. He also wrote the theme tune for Shameless and the radio play Kafka: The Musical.
