Molten Ice, also distributed as At the El Mocambo Club, captures a live release of Albert Collins playing at the famous El Mocambo club in Toronto in 1973 with the Moe Peters Band as backing instrumentalists.As much as it pains me to bash a Collins album, this one fails to impress. In his defense, the sound recording is poor, as if it was recorded with out of date, prehistoric devices.

Conosciuto con diversi soprannomi (The Iceman, The Master of Telecaster, The Razor Blade) Albert Collins, nacque a Leona in Texas , lontano parente di un altro grande bluesman : Lightnin' Hopkins, e come quest'ultimo crebbe imparando a suonare la chitarra.
