For example, an A minor chord (Am), which is built from the notes A, C, and E. The interval between A and C is a minor third (three semitones), and the interval between A and E is a perfect fifth (seven semitones).
I tried to experiment with borrowed chords to make my minor chord progressions more interesting, so I've done some reading, and tried a few things, but don't really see that many "useful" options in minor keys vs major keys. In the key of Am, for example, the only good-sounding borrowed chords (at least for me) are A, D, E (and maybe Fm).
